So today in Ward Room – NBC 5′s site about the upcoming Mayoral Election.
Our odds went from 1,000-1 2 weeks ago to 900-1 last week, back up to 1,000-1 this week because Mr. Mcclelland says, “We didn’t make the ballot.”
For the record, I was unaware you had to APPLY to be on the ballot. It was our (my) assumption all along that you needed to just say, “I want to be Mayor” and that alone would put you on the ballot. That’s how it works in the 53rd Ward, according to Alderman Ed Bus, and I was pretty sure that’s the way it worked all around the city, INCLUDING Mayor.
I respond to YOU, Mr. Mcclelland, if you could provide the link to apply to be on the ballot, I will fill it out for the Alderman, and then our odds can reflect that. And please don’t let the Alderman see your post until you fix your calculations. It would also be wise of you to offer a retraction for the front page of NBC 5 TV. If you can, get Nate Berkus to announce it. And if you do, I’ll invite you over for dinner with Grandma.
